Zero Tick Minute Mapper
MT4 keeps no direct record of "a minute with zero ticks". A minute that saw no price change simply never gets an M1 bar at all - it shows up as a GAP between two consecutive M1 bar timestamps, not as a bar carrying zero volume. Anyone wanting to know how often a symbol goes quiet - for scheduling an EA's active hours, or for sanity- checking a broker's feed continuity - has no built-in report to read; they have to walk the bar timestamps and find the gaps by hand. This script does that walk. It reads however much M1 history the terminal already has stored, up to InpDaysBack calendar days back, and for every pair of consecutive M1 bars checks whether more than one minute separates them. Every missing minute found is attributed to its hour of day and day of week (both taken from the missing minute's own timestamp, in server time), building a full weekday x hour percentage table of how often each slot has no ticks at all. This is entirely a stored-data study - it reads whatever M1 history is already loaded and does not sample or wait for anything live. A symbol with thin history (few days loaded) will simply produce a smaller, noisier table; the total-minutes-examined column in the CSV export should be checked before trusting a percentage from a single day of data. Notes and limitations - Results are only as good as the M1 history actually stored locally. A terminal with only a few days of M1 history cached will report a small, noisy table regardless of InpDaysBack - check the total-minutes column in the CSV export before trusting any single percentage. - Weekend gaps (the whole market-closed stretch) are counted as zero-tick minutes like any other gap. The weekday/hour table will correctly show near-100% for the closed hours; this is expected and not a feed problem. - The still-forming current minute is excluded from the scan, since it has not finished yet and is not a genuine "no tick" observation. - This measures gaps in the STORED bar series, not a live watch for future quiet minutes. Re-run the script periodically to keep the map current as more history accumulates.
