Trade Frequency Speedometer
Overtrading rarely announces itself as a single bad decision - it shows up as a gradually rising count of trades against whatever is normal for that trader. A plain number on the chart is easy to ignore; a needle visibly climbing toward the red zone is not. This indicator counts today's market-order fills (server-day boundary), compares that count against a "normal" daily rate - either a fixed input or an automatically maintained trailing average over recent closed-trade history - and renders the ratio as a half-circle dial with green/amber/red tick zones and a needle. The dial's tick marks and needle are drawn as chart trend-line objects positioned by converting fixed screen-pixel coordinates to time/price on every redraw (since line objects are price/time anchored, not pixel anchored), and the whole dial is rebuilt both on a timer and on every chart scroll/zoom event, so it stays visually fixed on screen rather than drifting away from its intended position. Notes and limitations Server-day boundaries are used throughout (both for "today" and for the automatic norm's calendar-day buckets), which may not match the trader's own local calendar day. The automatic norm only sees history the terminal actually retains locally; a freshly connected demo/live account with little history will show an artificially low or zero norm until enough trading has happened. The dial always draws on the main chart window at a fixed pixel position; it does not currently support attaching to a subwindow.
