Symbol Specification Dump
Half of all rejected orders and miscalculated position sizes trace back to a symbol property nobody looked up: a stop level that forbids the SL you are sending, a lot step the volume was not rounded to, a tick value that is not what the pip calculator assumed, a swap charged in a unit you did not expect. The specification window shows some of it; the platform's API knows all of it. This script prints all of it. Every line has three parts: the property name, the raw value, and the meaning - "freeze level | 5 points | orders closer than this are frozen - no modify, no delete". The output is grouped: identification (description and the three currencies - base, profit, margin), quote data (digits, point, pip, tick size, tick value, live bid/ask, spread), volume constraints (min, step, max), stop and freeze levels, contract and margin (contract size, calculation modes, the margin figures), swaps (mode, long, short, the triple-swap day), trade permissions, and the quote and trade session tables per weekday, where the broker publishes them. The unit lines matter more than they look. Swap can be points, base currency, margin currency, deposit currency or an annual interest rate depending on the mode - the same "2.5" is five different costs. The dump always prints the mode next to the figures. Same for the pip line: it states explicitly whether this is a 3/5-digit quote where a pip is ten points, which is the single conversion most home-made calculators get wrong. Lot figures are printed to the symbol's own lot step (a 0.001-step symbol shows three decimals), prices to the symbol's own digits, and everything else to a sensible fixed precision - never raw doubles. The block is printed in reverse order, last line first, because the Experts tab shows the newest entry at the top - so on screen it reads top to bottom, and it copies out the right way round for a forum post or a support ticket. Notes and limitations - Read-only. The script trades nothing and changes nothing. - Values are the state at the moment the script ran. Spread, bid/ask and the margin computation move with the market; swaps change at the broker's discretion. - Session times are in server time, in the raw form the server publishes (a session running into the next day can show an end past 24:00, as in the terminal's own specification window). - Margin figures of 0 mean "derived by formula", not "free" - the meaning column says so on those lines. - The dump reports what the broker's server publishes; where the broker leaves a property empty or zero, so does the dump.
