Prop Rules Preset Loader
A trader running several rule-aware tools on one funded account - a drawdown sizer, a consistency pacer, an evidence recorder - usually ends up typing the same daily-loss limit, total-drawdown limit and profit target into every single one of them separately. The moment the account switches programme, or the numbers are mistyped in one input box but not another, the tools quietly disagree with each other. This loader reads a plain CSV file of named preset rows and copies one row's columns into terminal GlobalVariables under a shared prefix. Any other EA or indicator on the terminal can then read GlobalVariableGet("PropRule_MaxDailyLossPercent") and the rest, rather than exposing its own separate input for the same number. IMPORTANT HONESTY NOTE: the CSV file shipped with this submission (PropRulesPresetsExample.csv) contains fictional, clearly-labelled example rows - "Example Firm A", "Example Firm B", "Example Firm C" - invented to demonstrate the file format. They are not the actual published terms of any real prop trading firm, current or historical. Firms change their rules without notice and terms vary by account size, phase and promotion. Before trusting any number this tool publishes, open the CSV yourself, edit or add a row with the limits from your own signed agreement, and verify it. This tool is a shared-variable pipe, not a source of rule truth. Notes and limitations - This tool does not enforce anything by itself - it only publishes numbers. Enforcement is whatever downstream EA or indicator chooses to read those GlobalVariables and act on them. - GlobalVariables are terminal-wide, not per-chart or per-EA. Two different presets loaded with the same InpVarPrefix on one terminal will overwrite each other's published values - use distinct prefixes if more than one account or firm's rules need to coexist. - Terminal GlobalVariables are cleared if the terminal has been closed for longer than their expiry (default four weeks) or on a fresh installation - reattaching the EA republishes them. - The CSV parser expects exactly the seven columns in the shipped example file's header, in that order. A row with a different column count is skipped rather than guessed at. - The shipped preset file is example data only - see the honesty note in the full description. Verify every figure against your own agreement.
