Naked Point Of Control Levels
A point of control that price never returns to is a magnet many traders watch for: it marks a price the market accepted heavily on one specific day and then walked away from without ever confirming it again. The problem is that tracking which POCs are still "naked" by hand means recomputing a volume profile for every past day and remembering which ones have already been retested - tedious enough that most traders only check the last one or two. This indicator computes a point of control for every completed trading day: it buckets each bar's high-low range into price steps of InpPriceStepPips and spreads that bar's tick volume evenly across the buckets its range touches, then takes the bucket with the largest tally as the day's POC. Every day's POC is drawn as a dashed ray starting at that day's last bar. On every new closed bar, every currently naked level is checked against that bar's high-low range - the moment any bar's range covers the exact POC price, the level is deleted, because a naked POC that has been touched is simply a point of control again, not a special one. Tick volume, not confirmed traded size, is what most retail feeds expose on either platform, and there is no genuine intrabar price-level volume available at all - the per-bucket split within a bar is a coarse, honest approximation, not a real market profile. Notes and limitations - Per-bucket volume within a single bar is spread evenly across every bucket the bar's high-low range touches; this is a coarse proxy, not a reconstruction of where trades actually occurred inside the bar. Neither platform has a data source that would allow better than this. - A day's POC is only registered once that day is fully complete - the currently forming day is never included in the tally. - Deep InpLookbackDays values on a symbol with a long attached history can take a moment to seed on first load, since every day in that window has its own volume profile computed once. - This marks a level, not a trade signal. It does not size a position, place a stop, or account for spread and slippage around the level.
