Multi Terminal File Dashboard
Running several MT4 terminals side by side - different brokers, different accounts, a prop-firm account next to a personal one - means there is no single place to see all of them at once without alt-tabbing between windows. Multi Terminal File Dashboard uses the one thing every MetaTrader installation already shares regardless of broker or account: the Common\Files folder (FILE_COMMON). Each terminal running the indicator periodically writes its own small CSV heartbeat there - timestamp, account number, equity, balance, total open lots, server name - named uniquely by account number so terminals never overwrite each other's export. Every instance also scans that same folder for every heartbeat file it finds and lists them all as dashboard rows, including its own. A terminal that closes, crashes, or simply stops updating (chart removed, AutoTrading paused so the timer no longer fires) does not vanish from other terminals' dashboards - its row's AGE column keeps climbing and turns red past InpStaleSeconds. This is the point of a heartbeat pattern over a one-shot export: a stale row that is visibly aging is a far more honest signal than a row that silently disappears or silently keeps showing stale numbers as if they were current. Notes and limitations FILE_COMMON is local to one machine (or a folder explicitly synced between machines) - this does not work across different physical computers unless Common\Files itself is shared by some other means, which is outside this indicator's scope. Staleness is measured against the reading terminal's own clock using each file's modify timestamp, not the embedded text timestamp, so results stay correct even if a remote terminal's system clock is wrong. Total lots is a simple sum of open market order volumes on that terminal's account; it does not net offsetting positions or show which symbols are open.
