Multi Currency Lot Calculator Panel
A lot size calculator that only works for pairs quoted directly in the account currency is not a calculator, it is a special case. The correct money-per-point for any symbol comes from MODE_TICKVALUE and MODE_TICKSIZE, which MT4 already reports in the account currency for every tradable instrument - cross rates, metals and indices included. This panel reads that live for whatever symbol is typed into it rather than deriving a point value from an assumed 100,000 unit contract size, which is wrong for anything that is not a standard forex lot. The panel has three fields - symbol, risk percentage and stop distance in pips - and a Calculate button. A "Use Chart Symbol" button loads the attached chart's own symbol into the field for convenience. A symbol that is not currently in Market Watch is forced in and the panel waits briefly for the broker to populate its tick value, because that omission - not a math error - is the most common reason a manual lot calculation on an exotic cross comes back as zero or wrong. The result line shows the computed lot size, normalised to the symbol's own lot step, minimum and maximum, alongside the actual money risk that lot size represents so a trader can sanity check the figure before using it. Notes and limitations This EA does not place any orders - it is a calculator only. A symbol name that the broker does not offer is reported plainly rather than producing a number. Some brokers still return a zero tick value for a symbol that is genuinely closed for the session even after the Market Watch warm-up; if that happens, retry once the market for that symbol is open.
