Month Seasonality Tracker

Seasonality tools usually plot a fixed calendar grid (day 1 through day 31) and average prior years onto it, which quietly misaligns months that have different numbers of trading days or start on a different weekday - day 15 of a 21-trading-day month is not the same point in the month as day 15 of a 23-trading-day month. This tracker instead aligns every prior year's same-month path by TRADING-DAY INDEX from that month's first bar, so "day 10 of the month" always means the tenth trading day, regardless of how many calendar days that took or which weekday the month started on. The composite line only draws a given trading-day slot once at least InpMinYearsSample prior years have a sample at that slot, so the far end of a typically-longer month does not get plotted from just one or two years' data pretending to be a stable average. The current month's own bars are excluded from its own seasonal average by definition - it is the line being measured against, not folded into it. Best used on a Daily chart, where "trading day" and "bar" are the same thing; it still runs on other timeframes but then aligns by however many bars-per-month the attached period happens to produce, which is a less intuitive unit. Notes and limitations - Requires enough downloaded history to actually contain prior years of the same month; a freshly opened symbol with only a few months of history will show only "this month" with no seasonal line yet. - Percent is measured from each month's own opening price, so it reflects shape (how the month typically unfolds relative to its own start), not absolute price level - appropriate for comparing years across a symbol whose price level itself has drifted over time. - A month that later gets restated by a broker's history correction (unlikely but possible) would shift the composite the next time it is rebuilt; the composite rebuilds once per calendar day, not every tick. - This is a read-only observational overlay; it places no orders and sends no alerts.
