How Maria AI works

What Maria AI does

Maria AI is an AI trading assistant for MT4. It puts a market chat panel inside your MetaTrader 4 chart. You type a question in plain words, for example what is happening on gold, and the answer appears within seconds. The AI does not guess prices: Maria AI sends it live data from your own broker, fresh news headlines, the economic calendar and, if you allow it, a picture of your chart. It also checks trades, proposes trade ideas, writes a morning brief and grades every closed trade.

Your AI provider and your own key

You choose Anthropic Claude, OpenAI or DeepSeek, or type a custom model id, and paste your own API key. The provider bills you directly, and a daily request limit, 50 by default, keeps the cost under control. Keys are stored encrypted on your PC only. The offline coach, price alerts, CHECK BUY, CHECK SELL and SCAN work without a key using chart data only. For each question the AI receives M15, H1, H4 and D1 trend, RSI, ATR, EMA 20, 50 and 200, recent highs and lows and the last candles.

Setup in a few minutes

Get an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI or DeepSeek. Attach Maria AI to any chart, paste the key into its input and choose the answer language if you want one other than English. In Tools, Options, Expert Advisors, tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL and add the addresses Maria AI prints in the Experts log: your AI provider, the news headlines source and the economic calendar, plus Telegram if you use it. Then press THIS CHART or type a question and press Enter.

Market chat, levels and trade tools

Every answer is short and marked as bullish points, bearish points, key levels, risks, upcoming events and what to watch. After a question about the chart symbol, support and resistance levels are drawn as labelled lines; if the AI gives none, the chart's own swing levels are drawn. CHECK BUY and CHECK SELL return GO, CAUTION or WAIT with reasons. TRADE IDEA proposes entry, stop loss and take profit with zones on the chart. You can also set price alerts in plain words.

Daily tools and trade coach

A morning brief covers your watchlist at your chosen time, and SCAN ranks the watchlist by trend strength using EMA, RSI and ADX. News reminders come before high-impact releases, and an after-news explainer compares actual and forecast numbers with the price reaction. The trade coach reviews every closed trade with a grade from 0 to 100 and flags mistakes such as no stop loss, risk too high, revenge trades or overtrading. Reviews are saved to a journal file, with a week report on Friday.

Limits and safety

Answers, levels and trade ideas come from an artificial intelligence. They can be wrong, and they are market analysis, not financial advice. Maria AI never opens a trade by itself: a trade idea is placed only when you press PLACE and confirm, with the lot sized from your risk percentage. Each AI answer is a paid request to your provider. MetaTrader 4 blocks web requests in the Strategy Tester, so the chat must be tried on a demo or live chart. A MetaTrader 5 version is coming soon.

Questions

Which AI models can Maria AI use?

You can choose Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT models or DeepSeek, or type any custom model id for those providers. You use your own API key, and the provider bills you directly. The AI button on the panel switches between the providers that have a key, so you can use a cheaper model for everyday questions.

Do I need an API key, and what works without one?

An API key is needed for the market chat, trade ideas and AI trade reviews. Without a key, the offline coach, price alerts, CHECK BUY, CHECK SELL and the watchlist SCAN still work using chart data only. A daily limit on AI requests, 50 by default, helps keep the provider cost under control.

Will Maria AI place trades on my account automatically?

No. Maria AI never opens a trade by itself. A trade idea shows entry, stop loss and take profit on the chart, and an order is sent only after you press PLACE and confirm the window. The lot is sized so the stop loss risks your chosen percentage of balance, 1 percent by default.

How do I install it in MetaTrader 4?

Copy Maria AI.ex4 into the MQL4 Experts folder, refresh the Navigator and drag it onto any chart with Allow live trading ticked and AutoTrading on. Then allow the web addresses it prints in the Experts log under Tools, Options, Expert Advisors. This product is for MT4; the MT5 version is coming soon.

Can I trust the AI answers and trade ideas?

Treat them as one opinion, not advice. The answers, levels and ideas are produced by an AI and can be wrong. Prices come from your broker, but the analysis is not financial advice. Always check an idea yourself, use a stop loss, start on a demo account and only trade money you can afford to lose.

How to install

1. Download the ZIP from your PolyMaria library and unzip it.
2. In MetaTrader 4 open File → Open Data Folder, then go to MQL4 → Experts.
3. Copy the .mq4 / .ex4 file(s) there. Put any .mqh files in MQL4 → Include.
4. Restart MetaTrader or right-click the Navigator and choose Refresh.
5. Drag the expert advisor from the Navigator onto a chart, check the settings, allow Algo/Auto Trading and press OK.
6. Test it first on a demo account or in the Strategy Tester.
