Manual Trade Grader
Trading journals fail for a boring reason: grading a trade against your own rules by hand takes longer than the trade did, so it stops after a week. This tool automates the mechanical part. It cannot know a trader's private reasoning for an entry, but it can check the three things a written plan can actually be reduced to - was risk controlled with a stop loss, was size within the agreed ceiling, and was the entry inside the hours the plan allows - every time, with no forgetting and no self-serving rounding. Money risked at the stop is converted from the price distance using the symbol's own tick value and tick size, scaled by the order's own lot size, never a hardcoded contract size, so the risk-percent check prices metals and indices as correctly as plain FX pairs. When that conversion cannot be trusted for a given symbol the trade is not penalised for it - the reason string says so plainly rather than silently failing the rule. Grading is timer-driven and watches history from the moment the EA is attached forward, so old trades already in the account do not get bulk graded and dumped into the log in one go. Each week's average score and pass rate print to the Journal the moment the calendar rolls to a new week, and again if the chart is removed mid-week. Notes and limitations - Risk percent is checked against the account's current balance, not the balance at the time each historical trade was opened - the platform does not retain that figure. On an account with large balance swings this makes the risk check approximate for older trades. - Weekly buckets are calendar day-of-year divided by seven, not true ISO-8601 weeks. Good enough for a trend line, not for payroll. - Grades only what is measurable from history: stop presence, size and entry hour. It cannot grade whether the setup itself was valid. - Read-only. It never sends, modifies or closes an order.
