Know Sure Thing
Pring designed KST to combine momentum measured over four genuinely different time horizons into a single line, rather than relying on one rate-of-change period that only captures one cycle length. Each of the four ROC series (default periods 10, 15, 20 and 30 bars) is first smoothed with its own simple moving average (default 10, 10, 10 and 15 bars), then the four smoothed series are weighted 1, 2, 3 and 4 - heaviest on the longest-period component - and summed. A 9-bar SMA of the resulting KST line is plotted alongside it as a signal line, read the same way as a MACD signal line: crosses of KST through its signal can mark shorter-term turns within the broader momentum picture the four blended components describe. Each ROC-then-SMA component is computed directly from price rather than from a running indicator buffer, so every bar's KST value depends only on the closes within its own lookback window - there is no separate warm-up state to get wrong on a partial chart recalculation. Notes and limitations - Needs the longest ROC period plus the longest SMA period plus the signal period, roughly 55 bars with the published defaults, before it produces a value. - Uses simple (not exponential) moving averages throughout, matching Pring's originally published formula. - This is an oscillator only - it does not generate trade signals or alerts; KST/signal crossovers and the zero line are left for the user to read visually.

How to install
- Download the ZIP from your PolyMaria library and unzip it.
- In MetaTrader 4 open File → Open Data Folder, then go to MQL4 → Indicators.
- Copy the .mq4 file(s) there. Put any .mqh files in MQL4 → Include.
- Open the .mq4 file in MetaEditor and press Compile (F7) if MetaTrader does not show it.
- Drag the indicator from the Navigator onto a chart and adjust the settings.
