Journal Completeness Auditor
A journal habit usually fails quietly. A missing file is easy to notice in a folder listing sorted by date; a file that exists, opens fine, and still only contains the blank template - six headings, no answers written under any of them - looks complete at a glance and is the gap that actually matters, because it means the trade was opened for review and then abandoned rather than never started. This script reads the closed-trade history and, for each trade, looks for a journal file named the way a companion template tool writes them: "Journal_<ticket>_<symbol> _<date>.txt", with a key: value header followed by a "--- REFLECTION ---" section. It checks three things per trade: does a matching file exist at all; if it exists, does the reflection section hold any real text or only the six blank headings; and did the trade close with an empty comment, which - since this catalogue's tagging convention uses OrderComment() as the trade's tag - means it cannot be found later by searching for a setup name. The result is one CSV row per trade plus a summary count of each gap. Notes and limitations Only recognises the specific filename and heading layout described above; a journal kept in a different format or a different folder structure will not be matched and every trade will read as missing a file. "Filled in" is a text-presence check, not a quality check - one word under a heading counts as filled, a thoughtful paragraph and a single "ok" score the same. Balance and credit operations in history are skipped; only OP_BUY/OP_SELL entries are audited.
