Goal Progress Reporter

A monthly profit target only means something next to the actual result. This script reads a small goals file (profit target, trade count target, and a maximum acceptable drawdown) written in plain Key=Value lines, scans the account's closed-trade history for the current calendar month, and prints a report stating the gap to each goal directly - "3,000 short of target" is more useful at a glance than two separate numbers the trader has to subtract themselves. Running the script with no goals file yet does not silently report against a target of zero, which would look like a real report while meaning nothing. Instead it writes a starter template with example values into MQL4\Files and stops, so the first real report only ever happens against numbers the trader actually chose. Notes and limitations Only OP_BUY/OP_SELL closed trades count towards the trade count, win count and net P/L figures - balance operations (deposits/withdrawals) are excluded so a deposit cannot look like a winning trade. Month-to- date drawdown is measured against this month's own running total starting from zero, not against account equity, so it reflects trading performance only, not deposits made during the month. The goals file format is a simple flat Key=Value list with "#" comment lines; it is not validated beyond that - a missing key is silently treated as 0, which shows up in the report as a gap equal to the actual result.
