Export Data Dictionary Generator

Building a script that exports trade history, or a spreadsheet macro that imports it, usually starts by guessing column names from a sample file, or by re-deriving "what does this column actually mean" from scratch every time. This script exists to remove that guesswork: it writes out a static data dictionary describing six commonly needed export shapes, with each column's name, data type and a plain-language description of what it holds and where its edge cases are - for example that profit_factor is 0 when there were no losing trades to divide by, or that a partial close's remainder gets a brand-new ticket rather than keeping the original one. This is documentation, not introspection. It does not open, scan or validate any actual file on disk - it writes out an opinionated reference that a new export tool, or a database import job, can be built against. Two output styles are supported: plain text for reading in the terminal's own journal or Notepad, and Markdown for pasting into a wiki or a GitHub README. Notes and limitations - The column layouts documented here are this script's own opinionated reference set, not a scan of any specific file. A tool built to a different, incompatible layout will not automatically match it. - Nothing here reads or writes trade data. The output is text only. - Re-running the script overwrites the previous output file if the same filename is used again.
