Daily Plan Sticky Panel
A written trading plan only works if it stays in view, and a checklist only works if ticking an item actually sticks. Daily Plan Sticky Panel reads a plain text file - one rule or checklist line per row - and pins it to a chart corner as a set of clickable rows. Clicking a row toggles a tick mark, and the tick state is written to a terminal GlobalVariable immediately, so detaching and reattaching the indicator, or restarting the terminal entirely, restores exactly what was already ticked rather than resetting the checklist. Each tick's GlobalVariable name embeds today's calendar date. This is a deliberate design choice: it means a new trading day always starts with a completely fresh, unticked checklist with no manual reset step required, since a new date produces new (unset) variable names automatically. Yesterday's tick variables are not actively deleted by this indicator - they are simply abandoned, and MetaTrader's own global variable store already deletes any variable that goes unused for 4 weeks, so cleanup happens on its own without this tool needing to track or manage it. Notes and limitations Ticks are keyed by row position within the file, not by the text of the line itself - inserting or reordering lines mid-day shifts which tick applies to which row. Edit the plan file between sessions, not mid-checklist, to avoid this. The daily rollover is judged from the terminal's own clock (TimeCurrent, i.e. server time), not the trader's local timezone, so the reset moment may not line up with local midnight.
