Currency Exposure Panel
Three open positions on EURUSD, EURGBP and EURJPY look like three different trades because the tickers are different. They are not three different trades - they are one large EUR bet, and a single EUR headline can move all three against you within the same minute. This panel makes that concentration visible before it happens by breaking every open position down into its two currency legs and summing signed lot size per currency across the entire account, not per symbol. Each position contributes +lots to its base currency and -lots to its quote currency for a buy, and the reverse for a sell - the same bookkeeping a currency exposure spreadsheet would do by hand. The result is one table, sorted by the largest absolute exposure first, so the concentration a trader most needs to see is always the top row rather than buried in a long list. Symbols that are not a plain 6-letter currency pair are excluded from decomposition rather than guessed at, because their ticker is not a three-plus-three currency pair and forcing one would misclassify the exposure instead of just omitting it. Notes and limitations - Only symbols that are exactly 6 characters after suffix stripping are decomposed into a currency pair. Metals, indices and other CFDs are skipped entirely rather than misclassified - they simply do not appear in the table. - Exposure is lot size, not monetary value - a lot of USDJPY and a lot of EURUSD are not the same notional risk. This panel shows position concentration, not risk-weighted exposure; pair it with position sizing judgement, not use it alone as a risk figure. - Reads only open positions on this account at this terminal; pending orders and positions on other accounts are not included, on either platform. - No alerting in this version; it is a read-at-a-glance panel that recomputes continuously from live account state, so it cannot repaint history - there is no history here, only the current book.
