Copier Signal File Writer
Local file-based trade copiers live or die on the receiving side being able to parse the signal file predictably. A hand-rolled format that changes shape between versions, or that never documents its column order, forces every reader script to reverse-engineer it from a sample file - fragile, and a source of silent misreads the moment a column gets added. This script writes one row per open order to a fixed 10-column CSV: ticket, symbol, side, volume, open_price, sl, tp, open_time, magic, comment. The column order never changes shape run to run, so a reader program can hard- code the column positions with confidence. Rows are sorted by ticket number ascending before being written, so the file's row order is stable between runs even though the terminal's own order-pool position for a given ticket shifts as other orders open and close. The output can be written either to this terminal's own MQL4\Files sandbox, or to the shared Common\Files folder (FILE_COMMON) that every MetaTrader terminal installed under the same Windows user can read - the practical way to move a signal file between two terminal instances on one PC without any network component at all. Notes and limitations This writes a snapshot, not a stream - it captures the open book at the moment it runs and does not watch for changes afterward. Pair it with a reader that polls the file, or re-run this script on a timer, if you need near-real-time mirroring. The schema documented above is this catalogue's own format, not an industry standard - any reader has to be built (or ported) to expect exactly these ten columns in this order. Common\Files is shared by every terminal instance under the same Windows user account, including terminals from different brokers - do not rely on it for anything you would not want a second, unrelated terminal to be able to read.
