Change Of Character Marker

Every break of structure is not a change of character - most of them are just the trend continuing. What actually matters to a structure-based trader is the first break that goes the other way after a run of breaks that all agreed. This indicator tracks that run with a small state machine and only marks the transition bar, not every break along the way. Break detection itself reuses the same rule as BreakOfStructure: a swing is confirmed once InpK bars have closed on both sides of it, and a break only counts once a later bar's CLOSE moves beyond that confirmed level. The same confirmation lag applies here - a level is always at least InpK bars old when tested, which is what makes it a real level rather than a moving target. One case is deliberately excluded: the very first break in the chart's available history only establishes the baseline direction. There is no prior run for it to oppose, so marking it as a "change" would be marking a change from nothing, which is not a meaningful signal. Notes and limitations - Every level tested is at least InpK bars old, and the direction flip itself is only recognised once a break confirms it on a closed bar - this indicator cannot flag a change of character the instant it starts, only once it has actually happened. - The very first break in the loaded history sets the baseline direction silently; it is never itself marked as a CHoCH. - On a fresh chart load or history reload the indicator replays the whole confirmable range to rebuild both the swing levels and the prevailing- direction state, so the first calculation can take a moment on a long chart. - No trade or stop-loss logic - visual and alerting only. - Uses the same K-bar fractal rule as this catalogue's BreakOfStructure indicator, coded inline here rather than shared, so this submission has no external dependency.
