CCI Zero Line Arrows
CCI oscillates without fixed bounds, so unlike RSI or Stochastic there is no obvious visual anchor except the zero line - and a zero cross on a busy chart, especially at a small window height, is easy to glance past. This indicator plots CCI exactly as the platform's own built-in CCI computes it, then adds a second layer: a green arrow the bar CCI first closes above zero, a red arrow the bar it first closes below zero. Nothing about the CCI calculation is changed or reinterpreted - this is purely a readability layer on top of the standard indicator, for traders who use the zero cross as a momentum-direction filter alongside a separate entry signal. Notes and limitations - The cross test compares the previous bar's CCI value against the current bar's, so it needs one prior bar and never marks the still-forming current bar. - A zero cross is a momentum-direction cue, not a full entry system - it says nothing about trend strength, overbought/oversold extremes, or where a stop belongs. - CCI is unbounded, so a "cross" during a very quiet, low-range market can be a small, low-conviction wobble around zero rather than a meaningful shift; this indicator does not filter for that.
