Broker Stop Level Bands
Every broker enforces a minimum distance between the current price and any stop-loss, take-profit or pending order price, plus a tighter freeze distance inside which an existing order cannot be modified at all. Both are reported live by the platform, yet most traders only discover the actual number when the terminal rejects an order with "invalid stops" - usually after already typing in a price that looked reasonable on the chart. This indicator turns those two numbers into something visible: a wider shaded rectangle for the stop level and a narrower one inside it for the freeze level, both centred on the current bid and both redrawn on a timer so they widen immediately if the broker tightens either limit going into a news release or the rollover session. Anything a trader is about to click inside either zone is a distance the server will refuse. Notes and limitations - Both bands are drawn symmetrically around the current bid as a single, readable picture. The real forbidden zone differs slightly by order type - a buy stop is measured from Ask, a sell-side stop-loss from Bid - so treat the shading as "get close and check", not a pixel-exact validator. - A broker reporting 0 for either limit means that limit does not apply here; the freeze zone is hidden entirely in that case, and the stop zone collapses to a line. - This does not place, modify or block any order itself - it is a visual reference only.
